Is Wickey PRO playground equipment certified and does it comply with safety standards?

All our products comply with the EN 1176 safety standard for playground equipment. This means that they meet all important safety standards to ensure safe play for every user.

How often should playground equipment be inspected and maintained?

You are responsible for ensuring that the playground is free of hazards for children. Regular checks are therefore essential. These include, for example, weekly visual inspections, operational checks every 3 months and an annual main inspection. The weekly checks are intended to help eliminate visible sources of danger caused by weather conditions, vandalism or normal use. The operational inspection is a somewhat more comprehensive inspection and can be carried out by trained specialists every three months. The main inspection must be carried out by a certified inspector. Make sure that your inspection obligation is fulfilled. Does my product require TÜV approval?

After installation, an inspection should be carried out by a certified playground inspector or playground safety expert. The requirements for the approval of commercial playgrounds may vary depending on the country, region and applicable regulations. In many countries, local authorities have specific safety standards for kids' playgrounds and playground equipment. We recommend contacting the local authorities before installing a commercial playground to ensure that all necessary permits and safety checks have been obtained.

Please contact your local authority to obtain authorisation to commission your equipment. The local authority will put in an order for your playground equipment to be inspected. A successful inspection can only take place if the assembly is carried out exactly according to the assembly instructions we provided.
